I don't know if anyone has answered this questions before but I'm going to ask anyway- how much should a family of four be buying for these storage prompts?
Mmmmmm. Mostly just do what works for you. Two ideas. a) buy 4 units, i.e. four cans of corn, or enough to have a full amount of the ingredient to play it's part in four regular sized recipes. b) if you like your life simple: pick a dollar amount and buy whatever volume that amount can purchase of the ingredients for the month. It's not perfect math but it will add up fast enough...
