Meet Jessamy!

2 Nephi 4:20
My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep.

Where is your home town?
Hermiston, Oregon... you might be thinking, 'oh, it's so pretty there'... but that's not the part I'm from. I'm from the dry, flat, brown side... true wild wild west with tumble weeds. A little teeny tiny cowboy town.

How long have you been in the Hingham Ward?

Since July, when we moved here for my husband to start Dental School.

What do you choose to spend your time on? Why?

Playing with and talking to my baby. I think that narrating everything and giving her lots of attention will build her self worth and help develop her understand of the world around her, also her vocabulary.

What's a "Fun Fact" about you"

I have never met anyone with my name. My mom read it in a novel when she was pregnant with me. It's Persian.

What's the most beautiful thing you have ever seen?

Sounds cheesy-but my beautiful daughter. We tried for a long time to have a baby. We thought it might never happen naturally for us. We both cried when she was finally in our arms.

Who can always make you laugh? How?

My dad. He is seriously like a stand-up comedian, only right in your own kitchen!

What Else can we know about you?

My favorite movies are Dan In Real Life and Matilda. I nearly die laughing in the scene where they sing about "Ruthie-pig-nose." I love Historical Mystery novels, know any good ones? :)

Finally,

What is your favorite scripture?

2 Nephi 4:20
My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep.

In my life the "wilderness" and "waters of the great deep" are figurative, but looking through my past brings me comfort because its evidence of Heavenly Father's hand in my life.
